This week my "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:
Teardrop by Lauren Kate (Teardrop #1)
Never, ever cry...
Eureka Boudreaux's mother drilled that rule into her daughter years ago. But now her mother is gone, and everywhere Eureka goes he is there: Ander, the tall, pale blond boy who seems to know things he shouldn't, who tells Eureka she is in grave danger, who comes closer to making her cry than anyone has before.
But Ander doesn't know Eureka's darkest secret: ever since her mother drowned in a freak accident, Eureka wishes she were dead, too. She has little left that she cares about, just her oldest friend, Brooks, and a strange inheritance - a locket, a letter, a mysterious stone, and an ancient book no one understands. The book contains a haunting tale about a girl who got her heart broken and cried an entire continent into the sea - and something about the story is uncannily familiar.
Eureka is about to discover that the ancient tale is more than a story, that Ander might be telling the truth... and that her life has far darker undercurrents than she ever imagined.

I own all the Fallen books but have still yet to read them, all the negative reviews kind of put me off. This new series sounds interesting, though.

MY WOW
I read the Fallen series and thought it was actually pretty good so this is definitely a book I'm going to want to read. :)

Chrissie made a good choice, and I'm not just saying that as a co-blogger should! I mean look at that cover... and these comments :P
@Alise: I don't think I own any Lauren Kate books but I would happily wait for this & devour it. Remember, authors skills improve like all talents do the more they are done. At least you have the Fallen books as a choice. Thanks for stopping by!
@Jessica: woah, your blog is big! If I'm honest before Chrissie chose it as her WoW book I hadn't heard of it. It does sound good... It's awesome you've been following a long time also, you probably knew about Once Upon A Series before I did, yikes!
@Jazmen: Thanks for stopping by and following! I suppose we're just reminding you that you want it, eh?
@Emma: Awesome, I can see why you want to read it. I sometimes get addicted to authors and have been known to ask debuts when their next book is coming out (not just if their debut was first in a series, either!) & get in the line for review copies through the author... Wow, why am I rambling? Hands up, I confess to being an oversharer! Sorry that this is what I do when you so kindly stop by & share your thoughts :/
